For those needing proof that Santa does indeed visit sunnier climates on Christmas I present the following irrefutable historical evidence…an image of the big man circling his team around Los Angeles City Hall (taken from the cover of a giant promotional matchbook for the LA City Employee’s Credit Union, circa 1950s).

Well, for those members who celebrate Christmas, I want to wish a very happy one. We’re staying close to home this holiday and given the storm blanketing a third of the US, I think may have been a wise choice. I’ve taken on the role of cleaning, cooking, baking, arranging and re-arranging elf this past week and am looking forward to sitting down with dear friends tomorrow for a day of laughing and eating and board games and eating and old movies and eating…you get the idea.
