The egg cozy (or cosy, depending on where you live) is a table oddity that falls somewhere between the finger bowl and salt cellar. Technically it’s supposed to keep that boiled egg warm on its long trip from the stove top to the table top. I’ve never found myself in a predicament that necessitated an egg cozy, but I do like the idea of dressing up food - and so we live peaceably together.
