San Francisco friends mark your calendar! The Northern California branch of the nationally renowned Bazaar Bizarre craft fair will take place on November 30th 2008 from 10 am to 5 pm at the San Francisco County Fair Building in Golden Gate Park featuring 110 plus indie crafters and designers from across the country. I’ll be setting up the Mahar Drygoods portable emporium and invite you to come say ‘hello!’ and get your post Thanksgiving shopping fix without ever having to step foot in a mall! Visit the BazBiz San Francisco site here and check out their blog for more info and great vendor interviews.

A little background. Bazaar Bizarre began in 2001 in the Boston-area as a hodge-podge get together of friends and acquaintances with offbeat handcrafted wares to sell. As the DIY movement grew so did Bazaar Bizarre and in 2004 the show spread to Los Angeles and Cleveland. And then in 2006 Make Magazine took the group under their wing to BazBiz as an integral part of the Maker Faire in the San Mateo and Austin. Pretty cool, right? Now’s your chance to see it San Francisco style…and what could be better than a craft fair in Golden Gate Park?
