Friends, this is a big day! If you do nothing else today, please exercise your right to vote. Make your voice heard!
As you know, this is not a political blog - it’s a blog focusing on kid culture and design. I have my own personal political views, many of which I feel passionately about, but the Junior Society is not venue I use to express them, Tonight, on the eve of a very important election, I discovered that the Google AdSense ad I have posted in the right hand column (below my lovely sponsors) was running political ads. I was completely distressed by this and have since learned how to set my filter to keep these ads from running on this blog. However, these filters do not take immediate effect so I want to explain that the ads supporting Proposition 8, a CA proposition to “change the California Constitution to eliminate the right of same-sex couples to marry in California” which you may have seen on the Junior Society have not been placed there by me. I do NOT endorse Prop 8 and given this unusual circumstance feel compelled to share that I, in fact, unequivocally and vehemently oppose this proposition. Enough said - go vote!
